3. The Business Bit: Cutting Out the Cost

When we started out, our model seemed too good to be true for brands: no listing fees, no subscriptions, just a success fee when a sale happened. Surely brands would be queuing up? Well, not exactly. We learned quickly that while "risk-free" is nice, brands are actually losing sleep over one thing: CAC.

5. The Build, The Hurdles, and The Launch Plan

Building an ambitious platform like a two-sided marketplace is tricky—it's the classic "chicken and egg" situation. Brands need shoppers; shoppers need brands.

How We Tackled It:

The actual build, juggling code and infrastructure alongside a full-time job, has taken about eighteen months. We are now ready for our early adopting shoppers to jump on board.

  • ✓The Next Milestone: Once we see people repeatedly using the app and shopping, we'll know we have nailed the product. That's when we'll speak to our investment contacts to secure the funding needed to scale up and go global, all planned for 2026.
