Bigger range for Audi
Out of this week, the Audi A3 and A8 ranges is going to be expanded to include a broader selection of configurations. The A3’s 2.-litre turbocharged engine with FSI, formerly only offered with Sport trim, has become obtainable in standard three-door A3 and five-door A3 Sportback models. Prices start at ￡19,070 for that A3 2. T FSI, rising to ￡22,970 for that range-topping A3 Sportback 2. T FSI Sport DSG and quattro Sport models.
Both standard and Sport trims from the A3 and A3 Sportback are actually available too with front-wheel-drive and 6-speed manual gear box. Formerly six-speed stick shift was just provided with quattro permanent four-wheel-drive cars.
Within the A8 range, the recently released 256bhp A8 3.2 FSI has become provided with quattro four-wheel drive beginning at ￡49,830, plus the existing front-wheel drive cars, which start at ￡47,930. All quattro models are fitted having a six-speed automatic gear box instead of the leading-drive car’s CVT. The A8 3.2 FSI quattro can also be provided with Sport trim, which adds 19-inch alloy wheels, sports adaptive suspension, sports seats along with a sports multi-function controls towards the base model.
